Welcome to Yarra Warra Pre-School
A Brief History of Yarra Warra Pre-School
The North Warrandyte Community Centre was originally located in Glynn’s Rd., and was re-established in 1968 on the existing site on Research-Warrandyte Rd. It was then that the Community / Infant Welfare Centre was expanded to also incorporate a Pre-School.

Through the process of establishing the pre-school, the North Warrandyte families and residents demonstrated a great deal of enthusiasm, energy and a wonderful community spirit.

Despite having been destroyed by fire and rebuilt on two occasions (1968 and 2002), the essence of that community spirit has continued to thrive. The support provided by families over the years has, of course, played an integral role in maintaining it. YWPS is now well known in the broader community, for nurturing and valuing this wonderful sense of community.

In 2013, Yarra Warra Preschool began a bush kinder in the space behind the preschool. This area was revegetated to an inspirational native landscape with the help of the preschool community.
